Source Material: Black Ivory – “I’ll Find A Way”

Black Ivory is a soul trio from Harlem, New York who mainly recorded in the ’60s and the ’70s.  The trio is comprised of Leroy Burgess, Stuart Bascombe, and Russell Patterson.  For most of their career they primarily recorded with producer Patrick Adams.  In 1971, Black Ivory released their debut single, “Don’t Turn Around.”  The following year, they released their debut album, Don’t Turn Around.  “Don’t Turn Around” was the lead single on the album.   The trio released two other singles: “You and I” and “I’ll Find A Way.” I like all three singles, but “I’ll Find A Way” hits the most.
