Quiet Elegance was a singing trio formed in Detroit, Michigan that briefly recorded in the ’70s. The trio included Francis Yvonne “Frankie” Gearing, Mildred “Millie” Vaney, and Lois Reeves. In the late ’60s, Gearing and Vaney performed as The Glories with Dolores Brown, but after Brown left, Lois Reeves joined the group. A few years later, The Glories changed their name to Quiet Elegance. Early on, they were managed by The Temptations, and they toured alongside them. But in 1972, after a tour stop in Memphis, they were eventually signed to Hi Records by producer and label head Willie Mitchell. One of the singles they released during this time was “Do You Love Me.”
