Source Material: Marilyn Barbarin and The Soul Finders – “Reborn”

Marilyn Barbarin is a singer from New Orleans who released a few singles in the late ’60s and the early ’70s.  In 1967, she released her debut single, “Just A Teenager/One Little World,” on NOLA Records.   A few years later, she released “Reborn/Believe Me” on Bo-Sound records. Barbarin was 15 years old when she made the record for Eddie Bo’s label.  “Reborn” became one of her most notable songs, and the rare 45 has had a life of its own amongst collectors.
