Sample Flips: Jacki-O – “Slow Down” (Prod. By Timbaland)

Jacki-O is a rapper from Miami, Florida who had a run in the early 2000s.  She was one of the first artists on Poe Boy Entertainment, a local record label which grew along with Jacki-O.  In 2004, Jacki-O released her debut mixtape, The Official Bootlegg.  The mixtape was a success, and the lead single, “Nookie,”  became her biggest hit.  It led to a record contract with TVT Records and the release of her debut album, Poe Little Rich Girl (2004).  The album was led by a few singles, including “Fine” and Sugar Walls,” but I like “Slow Down” the best.
