Source Material: Patrice Rushen – “Remind Me”

Patrice Rushen is a singer, pianist, and composer from Los Angeles, California.  In 1974, she started her recording career with Prestige Records.  She released three albums for Prestige, then in 1978, she started recording for Elektra Records.  In 1982, she released her seventh album, Straight From the Heart.  To date, it’s her most successful album.  The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard chart, and two songs were nominated for Grammy Awards (“Forget Me Nots and “Number One.”)  My favorite song on the album is “Remind Me.”
