Maxo Kream is a rapper from Houston, Texas, and his career started on the mixtape circuit. In 2012, he released his debut mixtape, Retro Card. The mixtape was led by his cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “Rigamortis.” Kream followed with two additional mixtapes: Quicc Strikes (2013) and #Maxo187 (2015). Both tapes played a role in his ascension as a promising underground artist. In 2018, he released his debut album, Punken. It was a dope album, and one year later, he signed with RCA Records. He made his major label debut with his second album, Brandon Banks. His third album, Weight Of The World (2021), is actually my favorite. “11:59” is one of the main reasons why.
