Black Milk is a rapper and a producer from Detroit, Michigan who’s been performing since the early 2000s. In 2002, his production career started with Slum Village. He produced a number of songs on their third album, Trinity (Past Present and Future). From there, Milk continued to work closely with Slum Village, but his production credits started expanding throughout the country. In 2005, Milk released his debut solo album, Sound of the City. The success of his debut album led to a record deal with Fat Beats Records. In 2007, he released his second album, Popular Demand. The title song, “Popular Demand,” is one of my favorite tracks.
