Grand Puba is a rapper from New Rochelle, New York who came up in the ’80s and the ’90s.  In 1984, he started his career with the hip hop group Masters of Ceremony.  After their debut album, Dynamite (1988), failed to achieve commercial success, the group broke up.  In the early ’90s, Puba started rhyming with Brand Nubian.  In 1990, they released their debut album, One For All.  The album was hailed by critics, but again, the project lacked commercial success.  After the release of One For All, Puba left Brand Nubian to pursue a solo career.  In 1992, Puba released his debut solo album, Reel to Reel.  One of the album standouts is “360 (What Goes Around).
