Louisa Mark was a Reggae singer from London, England who recorded for two decades. In the ‘70s, she helped popularize the lovers rock genre in London, England. Lovers rock is a sub genre of reggae music that was developed in the ’60s and the ’70s. In 1975, Mark released her debut single, “All My Loving.” That same year, she released her second single, “Caught You In a Lie.” It became one of her first hits, and it was one of the first lovers rock songs to take off in London. In 1981, she released her one and only album, Breakout. “Six Sixth Street” is one of the best songs on the album, and it’s a good representation of her evolution as an artist.
