Isaiah Rashad is a rapper from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He started rhyming in high school, but when he went to college everything changed. While he was studying at Middle Tennessee State university, he started recording heavily. Most of the music he recorded in college led to a solid fan base and a notable online presence. From there, Rashad became highly sought after in the early 2010s. In 2013, there were murmurs that TDE was looking to expand their roster. That summer, Rashad was one of the first artist’s linked to TDE’s roster expansion. By September, TDE made the signing of Rashad official.
To mark the signing, Rashad released “Shot You Down” and it became one of his most notable songs. In 2014, Rashad released his debut EP, Cilvia Demo. It was also his first release on TDE and it was critically acclaimed. Cilvia Demo featured songs, like “R.I.P. Kevin Miller,” “West Savannah” Ft. SZA, and “Menthol” Ft. Jean Deux. and In 2016, he released his debut album, The Sun’s Tirade. The led album was led by two singles, “I Mean” and Park. “Wats Wrong” Ft. Kendrick Lamar and Zacari is one of the best deep cuts on the album.
