Sample Flips: Jadakiss – “By Your Side” (Prod. By Baby Grand)

Jadakiss is a rapper from Yonkers, New York and a member of The L.O.X.  Alongside Styles P and Sheek Louch, The L.O.X. tore the ’90s and the 2000s up.  They also had successful solo careers.  In 2001, Jadakiss released his debut album, Kiss Tha Game Goodbye.  The album was commercially successful, but critics panned it as “uninspired and repetitive;” Jadakiss acknowledged this, and he went harder on his next album.  In 2004, he released his second album, Kiss of Death. The album went platinum and it featured hits, like “Why,” and “U Make Me Wanna,” but one of my favorite deep cuts is “By Your Side.”
