Eddy Mitchell is a singer and actor from Paris, France who began his music career in the late ’50s.  He recorded with the rock & roll group Les Chaussettes Noires for a number of years before he went solo in 1963.   As a solo artist, Mitchell released a slew of albums throughout the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.  In 1967, he released his album De Londres A Memphis on Barlcay Records.  Before the release, he recorded the single, “Je Ne Me Retournerai Pas;” it wasn’t included on the album, but it’s still a great song nonetheless.
