Hiroshi Suziki was a jazz trombonist from Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. He only released two albums in his career, but he played a role in the expansion of jazz in Japan. As a trombonist, Suziki played with Nobuo Hara and His Sharps & Flat, a 17-member big band, and one of the most impactful jazz bands in Japan. Suziki was also featured on a number of Japanese albums throughout the ’60s and ’70s. In 1969, he released his debut album, Trombone Deluxe, and in 1976, he released his final album, Cat. His final album features five songs, and “Romance” is one of the best.
