O.C. is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York who enjoyed a successful run in the ’90s. In 1991, O.C. made his debut on Organized Konfusion’s “Fudge Pudge.” Around the same time, O.C. went on tour with Organized Konfusion for the first tour produced by The Source Magazine. While on tour, he met Lord Finesse and Buckwild; two people who became essential to O.C.’s future. Lord Finesse is the founder of D.I.T.C., and the tour served as O.C.’s introduction to the crew. After the tour, Buckwild and O.C. started recording a demo record. That demo record became O.C.’s debut album, Word…Life (1994). The album featured three singles, “Time’s Up,” “Born 2 Live,” and “Let It Slide.” The most well-known song on the album is “Time’s Up,” but “Born 2 Live” has always been special to me.
