Source Material: Masayoshi Takanaka – “Sexy Dance”

Masayoshi Takanaka is a guitarist, composer, and producer from Tokyo, Japan.  He started his career in the early ’70s as a bass guitarist for the progressive rock band Filed Egg.  In 1972, he joined the Sadistic Mika Band; together, they played a pivotal role in the expansion of rock throughout Japan.  In 1976, Takanaka released his debut album, Seychelles.  In 1977, he released An Insatiable High.  To date, it’s one of his most coveted albums.  I think “Sexy Dance” is one of the best songs.  Since the release of An Insatiable High, Takanaka released more than 20 albums, and his fanbase grew throughout Japan and across the world.
