Compton’s Most Wanted is a hip hop group from Compton, California. The original group included co-founders MC Eiht and Tha Chill, DJ Mike T, and featured producers DJ Slip and The Unknown DJ. In 1990, they released their debut album, It’s A Compton Thang. The album featured songs like, “Late Night Hype,” “I’m Wit Dat,” and their single “One Time Gaffled Em Up.” “One Time Gaffled Em Up” was their most successful song on the album. It featured two verses from MC Eiht and a dope beat produced by DJ Slip and The Unknown DJ. Both their debut album and their single foreshadowed Compton’s Most Wanted’s success throughout the ’90s.
