Alain Goraguer is a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger from Rosny-Sous-Bois, France. He is known for his work with Boris Vian, Jean Ferrat, and Serge Gainsbourg. In the ’50s, Goraguer worked as an arranger for Vian and Gainsbourg, and by the ’60s, he began working with Ferrat. Over the course of his career, Goraguer composed and arranged thousands of songs. Outside of his collaborative work, Goraguer also scored a number of films throughout the ’60s and ’70s. His most well-known film score was for La Planète Sauvage, a French film from 1973. One of my favorite songs from the soundtrack is “Le Bracelet.”
