Ralfi Pagan was a latin soul and salsa singer from Bronx, New York. He was beloved on the New York and Los Angeles latin soul circuit. In 1969, Pagan released his debut album, Ralfi Pagan, on Fania Records. The success of his album led to an expanded audience, but it was his latin cover of “Make It With You,” a soft-rock song from the LA-Based group Bread, that propelled Pagan onto the national stage. His cover peaked at #32 on the Billboard chart, it sold 250,000 copies, and he performed on Soul Train. “Make It With You” was featured on his second album, With Love (1972). I think “Just One Of Your Kisses” is a hidden gem on his sophmore album. It’s one of the last songs on the tracklist but also one of the strongest.
