Sample Flips: Royal Flush Ft. Noreaga – “Iced Down Medallions” (Prod. By Ez Elpee)

Royal Flush is a rapper from Flushing, Queens who grew to prominence in the late ’90s.  In 1997, he released his debut album, Ghetto Millionaire.  The album featured two singles, “Worldwide” and “Iced Down Medallions.”  Produced by EZ Elpee, “Iced Down Medallions” features a sample of Gwen Mcrae’s “I’ve Got Nothing To Lose But the Blues.”  Royal Flush delivers three strong verses and Noreaga is on the hook.  Unfortunately, although “Iced Down Medallions” was moderately successful, Royal Flush never received much of the acclaim that he deserved.
