Creative Source, a soul and funk band based in Los Angeles, enjoyed limited success in the early ’70s. Managed by Ron Townsend of the Fifth Dimension, the band’s first hit was “You Can’t Hide Love” in 1973. The following year, their cover of Bill Withers’s “Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?” became the group’s biggest hit. In 1976, on their final album, Consider the Source, their single “I’d Find You Anywhere” had limited success at the time, but has since gone on to have an extended life through hip hop. “I’d Find You Anywhere” has been sampled by Kanye West for The Game’s “Wouldn’t Get Far” and by Eric Hudson for Jadakiss’s “By Your Side.”
